Mike Mercury VS Steve Zodiac

It's the old story, two men and a girl. In this case, one man got there first . . . only the girl wasn't there yet. She came later . . . with the other man. To explain more fully . . . last season Mike Mercury came on strong as star of Independent Television Corporation's "Supercar" (in New York, WPIX; in other areas, check local listings). Mike is tall, twenty-two inches (that's tall among electronically-controlled marionettes); blue-eyed; strong-jawed and fearless. He pursued adventure in all parts of the world. And of course getting there was more than half the fun in the amazing Supercar which can do anything, in any direction, and is equally at home on land, sea or air. Mike was a hero. A big man with a big car . . . . this season, he's still as big as ever . . . but now the other man is around. Steve Zodiac, star of ITC's "Fireball XL5" (NBC-TV). Steve is blond, handsome, virile, and pilot of Fireball XL5, the space ship in which he patrols Sector 25 of the Universe. His spaceship, naturally, is every bit as amazing as Mike's car. But this isn't mikes' grip. It's that beautiful blonde, Venus, who's always by Steve's side that's causing Mike to draw himself up to his full twenty-two inches and shout: "Why can't I have a girl just like the girl that travels with dear old Steve?" . . . I there any reason in Sector 25 why he can't . . . and put an end to his feud?
